3D Textile Artist May 2023 - Present

Independent Artist | Menomonee Falls, WI

  • Translated conceptual fashion sketches into tangible garments, utilizing a meticulous hand-building process.

  • Has had work featured in “Black Hair: Resistance, Freedom, and Beauty” exhibition curated by Chelsey Luster. 

  • Starting an art series called “The Inama Project” that will be a compilation of textile art, apparel design, and illustrations to bring awareness to the disparities women face from having the health condition PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome).

  • Sourcing unique and cost effective materials to weave, braid, bead, and crochet with.

Production Coordinator Jan. 2022 - May 2023

  • Within my first 7 months on the job I created a tailored educational and hands-on training plan on how to do the Production Coordinator role that secured my intern a full time position in less than 2 months.

  • Coordinated and managed the production process for multiple apparel lines, ensuring timely delivery of finished products through daily collaboration and relationship building with cross-functional partners.

  • Created and maintained tracking documents for up to 250 samples per development cycle, about 1,000 a year.

  • Improved the quality of our assortment every season by evaluating customer reviews for Design and Tech Design.

  • Communicated daily with vendors about missing submit comments, delivery delays, marketing trim layout/placement approval,  buy plan updates, PO EDIs, etc.
